A change was needed to the community due to concerns with crime, substance abuse, poverty, delinquency and absent fathers in the Laventille community of Trinidad & Tobago. This was the driving force of our organization.
The Loveuntil Foundation was conceived in 1998 because of increasing concerns with crime, substance abuse, poverty, delinquency and fatherlessness in the Laventille community. It answered a clarion call for help against prolonged neglect and untold prejudice.
Later that year, dreams transitioned into reality when the Bascombe family sold us their property. In 2001, the previous representative for the area, Mr. Fitzgerald Hinds, officially broke the ground. Construction of the Organization began immediately, and in 2005, the Loveuntil Foundation was complete. The Foundation was incorporated on 26th July 2004 and is located at LP 2C, Upper Church Street, Laventille.
Operations commenced on 28th August 2005, when the building was officially dedicated. Loveuntil Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and generally employs 13 staff members. Over the years, we have been fortunate to retain over 100 volunteers.
